Designed and manufactured in Italy, this seek urban shoe flied well below the radar.
It's CE certification means it passes requisite side impact tests—owing to its study hard-wearing rubber sole. As a bonus, it's got lightly reinforced toe box and heel cup and D3O ankle armor.
The side zip helps ease entry/exit of this waterproof-membrane-lined boot.
Thin cord laces complement this boot's low-key aesthetic. Even the lace eyelets are understated, with reinforced metal eyelets on the upper portion only. The lower eyelets are simply punched out of the boot's Micro-Synth shell, which Falco says holds up better than traditional leather.
As with any lace-up, we recommend a solid double-knot to keep the ends away from getting caught up in your bike, and for further peace of mind, Falco has incorporated an optional pocket built into the tongue of the shoes, for sequestering laces safety out of harm’s way.
Thanks to the waterproof membrane, which will also help block wind in the shoulder seasons, the Nomad 2 is a year-round urban option that works both on and off the bike.
