This is the new version of the full carbon X lite racing, enriched by an exclusive track layout (RS - Racetrack Setup). This consists of: additional Dark Green visor in the box, aerodynamic appendix (RAS - Racetrack Aerodynamic Spoiler) and exclusive system for adjusting the position of the cap (LPC Liner Positioning Control). The already appreciated and consolidated technical characteristics of X 803 ULTRA CARBON are also confirmed: extremely low weight and volume (thanks to the rich carbon construction and the availability of three outer shell sizes), cheek pad bearing removal system in case emergency (NERS - Nolan Emergency Release System), reliable visor mechanism with Double Action device, effective RAF (Racing Air Flow) ventilation system and Carbon Fitting Racing Experience comfort padding (with innovative mesh construction). X-803 RS ULTRA CARBON is proposed as the most exclusive full-face racing for the motorcyclist who wants to enjoy the best experience on the track.
NERS - NOLAN EMERGENCY RELEASE SYSTEM
This system, whose patent is pending, allows rescue personnel to remove the pillow pads from the helmet while it is worn by the motorcyclist, simply by pulling on the red ribbons positioned in the front area of the bearings.
Compared to its predecessor (X-802RR model), the X-803 has been improved in terms of lateral visibility. Consequently, it is able to offer greater driving comfort and increase active safety.
ADDITIONAL DARK GREEN VISOR
In addition to the original (Clear) neutral visor, the helmet is accompanied by a Dark Green visor. This is intended exclusively for daytime use at circuits and in particular light conditions (for example, in bright light). In such cases, it can reduce eye strain compared to the neutral visor (Clear). Warning : the Dark Green visor has light transmittance values below the limits set by the ECE / UN 22-05 regulation and, therefore, it is not approved.
PINLOCK® FOG-RESISTANT INTERNAL VISOR
The patented adjustment system allows you to adjust the draft of the Pinlock®, acting from the outside of the visor, without it being necessary to disassemble it. The silicone profile, adopted under Pinlock® license, allows, firstly, to increase the air gap between the outside and inside, thus further reducing the risk of fogging and, secondly, reducing the risk of scratches to the visor.
Device that allows the visor lock function (to prevent accidental opening at high speeds) or the demisting of the visor at low speed or in the event of a break (by means of minimum opening of the same).
Compared to its predecessor (model X-802RR), the X-803 has been improved in terms of habitability in the chin area: the chin guard has been slightly elongated, in order to offer greater static and dynamic comfort.
RACETRACK AERODYNAMIC SPOILER (RAS)
It is an aerodynamic appendix developed with the contribution of the official pilots Nolan and X-lite, as well as the result of CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) studies and checks in the wind tunnel.
The conformation of its upper part reduces the aerodynamic resistance of the helmet and improves its stability at high speeds in the driving position under the hull, especially in continuity with the possible rear appendix on the pilot's suit; the conformation of its side parts, on the other hand, improves the stability of the helmet at high speeds exiting the windscreen. It can be removed from the helmet according to the conditions of use and / or driving situations, for example in the presence of a passenger.
ADJUSTABLE STABILITY DEVICE (ASD)
If the RAS is removed from the helmet, the upper and lateral fins, available in the box, must be replaced. These constitute the ASD (Adjustable Stability Device), or an aerodynamic spoiler with an adjustable profile. The ASD optimizes the aerodynamic behavior of the helmet while driving, stabilizing it at high speeds, and promotes the extraction of hot air from inside the helmet itself. Its profile, therefore its aerodynamic flow, can be adjusted in the two available configurations, to better adapt to different positions and driving styles.
INTERNAL COMFORT PADDING “CARBON FITTING RACING EXPERIENCE” WITH INNOVATIVE NETWORK CONSTRUCTION
The internal comfort padding is made with active carbon filaments, a thermoregulatory, antistatic and dissipative element. The cap, with innovative mesh construction, facilitates the diffusion of air in the upper part of the head which, in this way, remains fresh and dry. The internal padding also consists of side pillows and covering strips, all completely removable and washable.
The internal foam padding of the cheek pads is designed to offer a homogeneity of pressure and constant performance over time compared to that offered by traditional padding. They can also be removed from the respective fabric lining covers to facilitate washing of the latter.
LPC - LINER POSITIONING CONTROL (PATENT PENDING)
This system, whose patent is pending, allows you to adjust the position of the cap which, for the same size of the helmet, allows you to change the attitude of the helmet itself on the head, adapting it to the different needs and anatomical conformations.
ROTATIONAL IMPACTS TEST
X-803 RS ULTRA CARBON has passed, at the Newton Srl laboratory, the tests relating to the rotational impacts to which the racing helmets used, among others, in the MotoGP and SBK races are subjected. Newton Srl is an independent test laboratory, recognized as suitable by the Italian Ministry of Transport for the approval of helmets and visors, in accordance with ECE / UN 22-05 regulation.
It is available in two versions: one, original equipment, gives the product a fine finish; the other, supplied (in the box), is clearly inspired
by the rain masks in use in the racing field and is, therefore, more suitable in order to limit fogging.
